A bloke from Darwin Clancy Whalan, went out in the tinny for a bit of a fish. Now, Clancy is a bit of a superstitious type, so he left his pluggers (thongs) on a rock next to the boat ramp. He and the lads came back after a fair few brews, and they were gone. He jumped on a crowdsourcing website as soon as he got home, and typed out the most wonderful title — Some bugger nicked me pluggers.  Wouldn’t you know it, his tale of woe touched the hearts of strangers and they donated like the clappers
