When Mimosa Schmidt spent her 20s on building sites, long-haul ships and farms, she knew what it meant to get your hands dirty while on the job. But she also learned what it meant to be closely watched while working in mostly male environments, and the scrutiny that came with it.

While her femininity was often associated with inexperience and weakness, she knew she had the same skills and work ethic as her male counterparts. In a world where gender seemed to be the catalyst for judgment and bias, Mimosa wanted to prove that a woman could do any job just as well, if not better.
