The Akubra Snowy River hat as seen in the movie The Man From Snowy River. This hat is an old Akubra classic and one their best sellers, featuring a distinctive curl in the brim, a plaited leather hatband and a short crown height. Like all Akubra’s this hat is made from pure rabbit fur felt, a premium material for an Australia’s favourite hats. A popular style around the world and a favourite for many Akubra lovers.

I have been annoyed at myself for 24 years for leaving my Akubra on a bus in Bangkok. I needed a hat for an upcoming trip to Egypt & Jordan and decided to replace my lost Snowy River. Have worn my Snowy River in near gale force winds, it is said to be the most aerodynamic Akubra, and I believe it. comfort and style. It is taking over from my beloved 15 year old Tilley LT5 for windy times.(still use the old snap brim T3 for fishing, easy to clean)EA are cheaper than buying from the hat shops in Melbourne. This is a brilliant hat, I bought it last June when I was home last. Now living in Germany all my friends are envious. This is my second akubra and I love them for the comfort and good looks.
