Oilskin Accessories

Oilskin is a durable, waterproof material traditionally used in coats and jackets, worn in the Australian outback. The oilskin material is made from a tight woven cotton, that has been treated with oil or wax coating to make them water-repellent and wind-resistant. It was originally developed for use by sailors, but its durability and weather resistance also made it popular for workers on farms and in rural areas.

Whilst normally these can be found as oilskin jackets or vests, other accessories benefit from the same waterproofing treatment. These include boot guards, bottle coolers, dog coats, and even hats.
